Professional Relationship

A doctor-patient relationship is established only after:

• An in-person consultation with Dr. Gideon Maresky
• Completion of medical history and consent forms
• Mutual agreement to proceed with treatment
• Payment of consultation fees

Treatment Conditions

• All treatments are subject to medical assessment and suitability
• Dr. Maresky reserves the right to decline treatment if not in patient's best interest
• Treatment plans may be modified based on medical findings
• Patients must disclose complete medical history and current medications
• Follow-up care is essential and may be required for optimal outcomes

Consultation Booking Terms

Booking Process

• Consultations must be booked through our secure online system or by phone
• Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm appointment
• Consultation fees are non-refundable unless cancelled 48 hours in advance
• International patients may pay in multiple currencies (ZAR, USD, EUR, GBP)

Cancellation Policy

• 48+ hours notice: Full refund available
• 24-48 hours notice: 50% refund available
• Less than 24 hours: No refund available
• No-show: Full consultation fee forfeited

Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled once without penalty if 48 hours notice is provided. Subsequent rescheduling may incur additional fees.

User Responsibilities

Information Accuracy

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete personal and medical information
• Updating your information when changes occur
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Medical Compliance

• Following all pre-operative and post-operative instructions
• Attending all scheduled follow-up appointments
• Disclosing all medications, supplements, and medical conditions
• Seeking immediate medical attention for complications
• Maintaining realistic expectations about surgical outcomes

Payment Obligations

• Payment of all fees as agreed upon
• Understanding that cosmetic procedures are typically not covered by medical aid
• Arranging payment plans in advance if needed
• Responsibility for any additional costs due to complications or revisions

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:
